Western Montana, somewhere on our way to Bozeman. The clouds that day were the perfect backdrop. The sky, as blue as it gets. And this house, off the road on the right, surrounded on all sides by open land. The center of a compass, around which the whole world seemed to turn.
A house like this inspires the storyteller in all of us. Who lived there? How did they end up on this piece of Montana land? How did they live and why did they leave?
Some houses are haunted. And some houses haunt us.
